Not in Firmenich/ Lukas (however, cf. Firmenich/ Lukas 30). Lower right signed and dated. 53.2 x 43.5 cm (20.9 x 17.1 in).
Scharl also executed the motif of our work on canvas (Firmenich/ Lukas 30). The depicted person is Scharl's father. The catalog raisonné mentions a date around 1922 for the portrait, however, owed to the discovery of this work the painting's date of origin can be determined to 1923. [FS/ SM].
