Cronica Troyana, en que se co(n)tiene la total y lamentable destruycion de la nombrada Troya. Medina, F. del Canto für B. Boyer 1587.
Spanische Ausgabe der Ende 1287 vollendeten Geschichte der Eroberung Trojas. Basiert auf dem Roman de Troye des Benoit de Sainte-More (12. Jh.). Guido de Columna war Troubador am Hofe Friedrichs II. in Sizilien und später am Hofe Edwards I. in England. Die spanische Übertragung durch Pedro López de Ayala (1332-1407) wurde erstmals 1490 in Burgos gedruckt. - Leicht gebräunt und etw. fingerfl., zum Ende leicht wasserrandig, mit kl. durchgeh. Wurmloch im Seitensteg, 1 Bl. mit Eckabriß, Titel bis an die Bordüre beschnitten und aufgezogen, vereinz. Marginalien von alter Hand.
Mit interessanter Provenienz: Am Ende mit Besitzeintrag von Simon Bertani (dat. 1611). Das flieg. Vorsatz mit Namenszug des bekannten venezianischen Bibliophilen und Senators Giacomo Soranzo (1686-1761), datiert 1743. Zudem aus der Luton Library von John Crichton-Stuart, 2. Marquess of Bute (1793-1848), mit dessen gest. Wappen-Exlibris.
EINBAND: Pgt. d. spät. 18. Jhs. mit RSch. Folio. 136 num. Bll. - ILLUSTRATIONEN: Mit kl. Titelholzschnitt und breiter Holzschnitt-Titelbordüre in Rot und Schwarz.

Late 18th cent. vellum. - Slightly browned and fingerstained, at the end slightly waterstained, 1 small wormhole in the fore edge, 1 leaf with corner torn off, title cropped to the border and mounted, few marginalia by old hand. Interesting provenience: At the end with owner's entry by Simon Bertani (dat. 1611). Front flying endpaper with owner's entry by the Venecian bibliophile and senator Giacomo Soranzo (1686-1761), dat. 1743. From the Luton library of John Crichton-Stuart, 2. marquess of Bute (1793-1848), with his armorial ex ibris.
