Fleischmann's abstract works consist of two components. On the one hand there is the surface's clear color structure, and, on the other hand, an indifferent, almost mystical statement, both clash in the loose interplay of dispersed color forms. One could call it a sort of constructive divisionism, but only when regarding Fleischmann's work from a mere optical perspective. But there has always been more to it. Fleischmann is a romantic among the artists of constructive abstraction. While others use a gestural verve as a means of expression, the artist's does so through the subtle usage of colors. Despite all apparent construction, a meditative element prevails. It allows the composition to go beyond all formal aspects and to deeply enter the observer's conscience.
