Bronze with dark brown patina.
Isermeyer F 18. Plinth with dated monogram "Bl 28". Verso with the foundry stamp "Richard Barth, Berlin-Mariendorf". One of presumably 15 casts. Height: 93.8 cm (36.9 in).
This bronze, cast around 1954, presumably is the first cast after the plaster cast from 1928/9.
Accompanied by an expertise issued by Dr. Agnes Scherling on 14 June 2013.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Southern Germany.
EXHIBITION: Hermann Blumenthal, Gerhards Marcks, Alexander Zschokke, Kunsthalle Basel, 1956, no. 3877 (with exhibition label on underside).
