Some signed or monogrammerd. Some signed, monogrammed, dated or inscribed in plate and stone. Exsteens 42, 45, 57, 63, 70, 78, 82, 89 (lithographs). Exsteens 233, 261, 283, 299, 313, 318, 332, 416, 509, 517, 522, 531, 534, 724, 772 (etchings). On different types of paper. Up to 30 x 24 cm (11.8 x 9.4 in). Sheet: up to 50 x 32 cm (19,7 x 12,6 in).
Most with inscriptions in margins. All lithographs with typographic text on verso, released in "Uylenspiegel" between July 1856 and January 1857. [CB].
PROVENANCE: Formerly in collection Heinrich Stinnes (1867-1932), Cologne (21 sheets with collector's stamp on verso, Lugt 4436).
Two sheets with additional collector's stamp:
Maurice Bonvoisin (1849-1912), Verviers/Brussels (Lugt 3259).
Stéfan Natanson (died 1904), Paris (Lugt 1987).
