Focillon 35. Hind 12 II (of III). Robison 38 V (of VI). Signed and Roman numbered in plate. Excellent strong impression on laid paper with broad margin around platemark and usual centerfold. 41,3 x 55,7 cm (16,2 x 21,9 in). Sheet: 60,5 x 89 cm (23,8 x 35 in).
State of second editionon, which Piranesi published himself and increased it from fourteen to sixteen sheets. The fourth volume of this second edition was published from the mid 1770s up until ca. 1809. [CB].
