Signed and dated lower right. Once more signed on stretcher as well as titlewd and inscribed "Berlin" as well as "C 705" twice. 140 x 110 cm (55,1 x 43,3 in).
Otmar Alt is often referred to as the "storyteller" among German artists. His pictures are not illustrations of famous stories, but rather fantastic image prose put together like a jigsaw of monochrome color fields. This way the artist asks the observer in an ironic manner to discover the title in the picture. [KP].
