Kirchner made this intimate domestic scene with broad strokes. While he applied rounded lines in earlier works, he used more edgy lines in this work. The reserved line management is all in line with the domestic subject and does entirely without agressivity.
This work is registered in the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archive Witrach/Bern. [EH].
