Strongly abstract view of the picturesque town, also known as the "Dornröschen der Mosel" (Sleeping Beauty on the Mosel), with the ruin of the Metternich castle in the background, which once belonged to the dynasty of princes of the same name. Executed in lucent colors and bordered in pencil, it has a very striking character and references Binder‘s activities as commercial artist. [DB].
