Strobl 826. Inscribed "R" by a hand other than that of the artist in lower right. On brownish Japon. 45,7 x 31 cm (17,9 x 12,2 in), size of sheet.
The "R" presumably hints at the sheets origin from the ownership fo the industrial and art collector Carl Reininghaus (1857 Graz - 1929 Vienna), who saved the Beethoven Frieze from destruction by purchasing it as well as a great deal of graphic art (Strobl, vol. I, p. 221).
