Engels/Söhn 41. Signed and dated "Jan·19". One of a few hand-made proofs. On firm Chine. 21,4 x 20 cm (8,4 x 7,8 in). Sheet: 40,6 x 33,2 cm (15,9 x 13 in).
The woodcut was also printed in diminished form in "Der Weg", Munich, issue 1, January 1919 (cf. Söhn HDO 36101-4), as well as in original size in "Der Anbruch", IVth year, no. 2, 1921, reproduced. Copies of the original woodcut on Chine are in possession of, anmong others, the Kupferstichkabinett - Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden as well as in Clemens Sels Museum, Neuss. [KP].
