Mourlot 449. Signed and numbered 20/20. On glassine. 33,5 x 48,5 cm (13,1 x 19 in)Sheet: 35,4 x 50 cm (13,9 x 19,6 in).
From the series: Le Lézard aux plumes d'or, released by Louis Broder. Miro made 18 lithographs in colors for his poem. Due to color alterations originating from the making the sheets have not yet been offered on the market. After the publisher's death the exact print run could not be determined as the number of destroyed sheets was unknown. Mourlot assumed that their are some 30 impressions with print on one side on "Pergament" (numbered 1-20 and I-X) in existence.
A new edition from 1971 shows a different motif (cf. Mourlot 789-828), as the original plates were destroyed. [EH].
