Dec. 1895" at the end. - "The first announcement of the accidental discovery of X-rays" (Honeyman). - "In December 1895, he read the above paper and X-rayed the chairman's hand at Würzburg and the world of science became electrified at the significance of the discovery. Physics, medicine, crystallography metallurgy - practically every science was improved by the new technique" (Dibner). - Orig. wrappers with faint crease marks in center and slightly soiled, front wrapper with small ownership entry in upper right.
First edition of the first announcement of the discovery of X-rays, a second announcement appeared 1896 with 9 pages. Yellow original wrappers. - Orig. wrappers slightly soiled and with very slight crease in the center, collector's stamp in the upper right corner of front cover.
