First edition of the work comprising Hamilton's two earlier main works. With 62 engr. plates (mounted on terracotta paper) and 1 engr. head vignette. Contemp. red morocco with rich gilt tooling, gilt-tooled border and gilt inside edges as well as gilt edges. - Minimally foxed, ca. last 10 ll. with sight waterstains. Binding soemwhat stained, rubbed and scuffed.
