Rohr 324-348. - Barth 9739. - The first 25 years of this New Year's almanac, founded by Johann Caspar Hirzel, with the two versions of the 3rd year on the bombardment of Zurich by Helvetian troops. The first version was a subject for censorship, the second version was only released after large parts had been taken out by the censors. - Besides descriptions of natural disasters or help activities also with views of, among others, Bürgenberg, Guntenswil, Unspunnen, Rapperswil, Weesen, Unter-Schächen, a Zurich orphanage, Freimünster Zürich, Linthtal and Bläsihof on the Zürichberg. - Bound in.: 2 copper plates (marginal drawings after nature on the "Freyheitslied" (freedom song) in the Helvetischen Revolutions-Almanach 1799 (Helvetian Revolution Almanac 1799). - 1 title leaf and last blank leaf with entries by an old hand. All in all almost stainless copy on firm paper.
