In einem schönen Leipziger Renaissance-Einband, den Haebler der Werkstatt von Mathias Radmann zuordnet; mit zwei Mittelplatten (rc. fides und spes und vo. caritas und Bettler sowie einer fides - prudentia - temperantia - caritas -spes - Rolle).- Fehlt Blatt CXV aus dem ersten Teil. Wenige Unterstr., 2 Bll. mit längerem Einriß, 2 Bll. mit gr. Randausriß (Textverlust), ca. 10 Bll. mit kl. Randeinrissen. Einbd. etw. fleckig, Schließbänder tlw. entfernt.
First edition of the increased readaptation by Franz Romanus, obtained from the handwritten estate of Chr. Zobel. With fullpage armorial woodcut and 3 woodcut printer's devices (1 halfpage, 2 rep.). Blind-stamped contemp. pigskin (monogrammed "M R" = Matthias Radmann) with 2 nice inner panels (verso Caritas and beggar and recto Fides and Spes and figurative decorations (Fides - Prudentia - Temperantia - Caritas -Spes). - Lacking leave no. CXV from part I. Few underlinings, 2 ll. with longer tear, 2 ll. with large marginal tear-out (loss of printed matter), ca. 10 ll. with small marginal tears. Binding somewhat stained, thongs partly removed.
