Signed and dated lower left, with inscription on verso. On two joined sheets from a drawing block (with perforation), presumably mounted on black cardboard by the artist. 94,5 x 43,3 cm (37,2 x 17 in), the full sheet. Size of cardboard: 95,8 x 68,3 cm (37,7 x 26,8 in). [JS].
PROVENANCE: Galerie der Spiegel, Cologne (with label on verso of stretcher).

EXHIBITION: Kunstsalon Franke, Munich 1964, no.40.
With isolated crease marks and rubbed spots. Lower edge of upper sheet with small defective spot. Margins with isolated pinholes presumably originating from the making. With remains of a former mounting on verso of upper corners, minimally pushing through to recto.
