I fehlt der Zwischentitel The microscosm of London und die Contents sowie Bl. "b1", in Bd. III fehlt Contents, in Bd. II sind die Contents ans Ende verbunden. - Tafeln mit leichtem Abklatsch, feste Vorsätze in Bd. II und III mit unschön gelöschtem Exlibris. Kanten leicht berieben, Gelenke restauriert. - Mit Ldr.-Exlibris von James Wood. - Schönes breitrandiges Exemplar dieses Tafelwerks.
Second print of the first edition of text and plates according to Tooley with exception of vol. I, plate 11 and 18 (1st state) and vol III, plate 91 (3rd state). With 3 titles with architectural borders in wood engraving, 3 engr. titles with differing vignettes and 104 col. aquatint plates after Rowlandson and Purgin. Contemp. red morocco with blindstamped spine decoration, gilt filet and blindstamped border on boards, edges gilt. - Plates with slight off-set. Edges slightly rubbed, hinges restored. - Ex-libris James Wood.
