GW 7412. - Hain 14829. - Goff S-585 (under Soccus). - BMC II, 574. - Proctor 2683. - BSB C-517. - Second edition, rare. - One of the earliest prints by the Reutling printer Michael Greyff, father of the famous Lyon printer Sebastian Gryphius. - First 8 ll. rubricated and with simple initials by an old hand. - Waterstaining throughout, upper edge with some moulding, first 3 leaves with backed defective spots to margin (without loss of text), partly few wormholes; first leaf recto and rear pastedown with contemp. inscriptions. Inner front joint loosened, binding partly with minor worming, edges rubbed. Else good copy with broad margins.
Early printing by the first printer of Reutlingen Michael Greyff, father of the well-known Lyon printer Sebastian Gryphius. Second edition of this Sermones de sanctis, erroneously ascribed to Conrad de Brundelsheim. Contemp. pigskin over strong wooden boards with slant iron lines, blossom- and "Maria"-stamps. Gothic type. - Waterstaining throughout, upper edge with some moulding, first 3 leaves with backed defective spots to margin (without loss of text), partly few wormholes; first leaf recto and rear pastedown with contemp. inscriptions. Inner front joint loosened, binding partly with minor worming, edges rubbed. Else good copy with broad margins.
