Oecolampadius. - Johannes Cassianus' (ca. 360-435) writings had a major influence on the development of the occidental monks. - Water stained and with traces of damp, first quire loosened and with marginal defects, last l. remargined in the lower margin, with crease marks in places of corners. Inner joints loosened.
First edition. The only western treatise dealing with the Nestorianism, a defense of orthodox doctrine against the views of Nestorius. With woodcut printer's device on title and some woodcut initials. Later limp vellum using an old manuscript. - Water- and dampstained, first quire loosened and with marginal defects, last leaf remargined at bottom, edges partly creased. Inner hinges loosened.
