Schottenloher 31280. - Not in the heraldic bibliographies. - Rare and early chronic of Mainz, of which large parts presumably originate from the publisher Konrad Corthois himself (cf. preface). With a register of 100 bishops and electors from Mainz at the beginning, the 12th chapter (pp. 44-46) covering Gutenberg and the invention of the art of brookprinting in Mainz. The VD 17 registers an edition with the same collation from 1612, in this copy the printed year 1612 has been changed to 1613 by an old hand, the date at the end of the preface has been pasted over with 1613 in former times. - Lacking 1 l. (c/1) and, as so often, the folding plate. Somewhat stained and browned, ca. 30 ll. with defective spot in the gutte. Title with marginal defects and uncomely colouring, the crests mainly in a strong colouring with opaque white. Binding somewhat defective.
