Monogrammed and dated upper centre. 158 : 138 cm (62,2 : 54,3 in). Günther Förg divides the image parts 'vertically and horizontally in monochrome fields and stripes, as known from the minimalists to Palermo. But differing from them, he lends a transparency to his surfaces with the clearly visible traces of the brush stroke to put the monochromacity into perspective. The brush's movements recall the approach and the form repertoire of the Abstract Expressionists and the Informels, but never achieve such an intensity of expression to be understood as images of the psyche's agitation.'
