Die erste Folge in fünfter und letzter Ausgabe mit den Versen des Claude Paradin; die zweite mit den Sixains von Charles Fontaine in zweiter Ausgabe, wobei die Verse zur Apokalypse hier erstmals erscheinen. - Fehlt das Titelblatt zum AT, stattdessen irrig das Titelbl. der dritten Ausg. von 1558 eingebunden. -Titel im Fußsteg mit Tintenspur, letztes Bl. mit kl. Federübungen. Sauber und breitrandig. - Ldr.-Exlibris Étienne Cluzel.
Both series of the delicate bible illustrations by Bernard Salomon, called Le Petit Bernard (cf. Mortimer 87 and 85). Bound together in mod. vellum. I: Fifth and last edition by de Tournes. With arabesque woodcut titleborder, 247 woodcuts and woodcut printer's device at end. Lacking the title, in return with the title of the 1558 edition. - II: Second edition, the first with Fontaine's verses for the Apocalypse cuts. With arabesque woodcut titleborder, 96 woodcuts (2 rep.) and woodcut printer's device at end. - Title in the lower margin with ink stain, last leaf with little scribbling. Clean copy with wide margins. - Leather bookplate Étienne Cluzel.
