"Although the book is on practical mensuration, the 'libro sesto' is upon square and cube roote" (Smith). - Mit hübschen Illustrationen zur Meßkunst sowie geometr. Figuren und Diagrammen. Das schöne Porträt zeigt den Verfasser. - Vereinz. gering fleckig, erste Bll. mit durchgeh. Braunfleck; 1 Bl. mit Randausschnitt (Text- und Bildverlust von alter Hand sauber ergänzt), Titel und letztes Bl. aufgezogen, Vorsatz mit altem Bibl.-Stempel. VDeckel geworfen.Second edition. With fig. title woodcut border, woodcut portrait, 2 folding woodcut plates and numerous woodcuts in text. Mod. vellum. - Here and there minor staining, first leaves with brownstain, cut-out to 1 leaf (loss of printed matter, carefully replaced by an old hand), title and last leaf mounted. Front board bowed.
