Rousselon became the publisher of the Journal des flore des jardins in 1832, changing its title to the above. For the sixteen years of its publication he not only produced, but wrote a large part of the text for the work, along with the Jacquin brothers, the Cels family, and Prévost. It is one of the most finely illustrated of the French horticultural periodicals, a rival to Curtis' Botanical Magazine in the quality of its plates." (De Belder) - Vorh.: Jg. 1835/36, 1836/37, 1837/38 und 1838/39. - Tafeln vereinz. schwach gebräunt, 1 Taf. mit hinterl. Einriß im Falz. Deckel beschabt und etw. bestoßen, Außengelenke tlw. mit kl. Einriß.4 vols. 171 (of 184; 8 folding) coloured engravings. - Contemp. half calf. - Plates occasionally slightly browned, 1 plate with backed tear in the folding. Boards rubbed and somewhat bumped, outer joints partly torn.
