• Painterly lightness and spontaneity combined with graphic precision.
• Created in the small Danish border village of Ruttebüll in close proximity to the motif.
• Some of Nolde's most beautiful landscapes were created in Ruttebüll.
• In 1909, Nolde became a member of the Berlin Secession, having previously been a member of "Die Brücke", Germany's most important modernist artists' group.
Accompanied by a photo expertise issued by Prof. Dr. Martin Urban, Ada and Emil Nolde Foundation, Seebüll, from March 8, 1994 (copy). The work is registered in the Ada and Emil Nolde Foundation, Seebüll.

In good condition. A few small torn spots in the edges, some expertly backed. Tiny pinholes in the upper corners. Small paper loss in the upper left corner edge. With a barely visible skinned area on the right below the center and a tiny pinpoint paper loss.
