• Schultze's concept of abstraction leads to a highly associative spatiality with an astonishing depth effect.
• The artist is considered one of the most famous representatives of German Informalism.
• In 1959, 1964 and 1977 he took part in documenta II, III and 6 in Kassel.
• Schultze's works are now part of important collections, including the Tate Gallery, London, the Folkwang Museum, Essen, and the Museum Ludwig, Cologne.
