Laur 322. Schult 25. With the name and the foundry mark "H. Noack Berlin" on the side. From an edition of 20 copies, some released posthumously. 17.5 x 17 x 9.5 cm (6.8 x 6.6 x 3.7 in).
Cast by art foundry Hermann Noack, Berlin. [SM].
• Wonderful example of Ernst Barlach's block-like figure groups.
• The plaster model for "Kussgruppe I" is part of the collection of the Ernst Barlach Stiftung, Güstrow.
• Other copies of this bronze are at, among others, the Museum Ludwig, Cologne, the Israel Museum, Jersusalem, and the Staatliches Museum, Schwerin.
