Signed and dated in top center. Verso inscribed "Rudolf Hacke. Seitendorf/Katzbach. Das weiße Tuch" and with an artist label, there titled and inscribed with the retail price. Stamp of Municipal Art Collections Görlitz, Gedenkhalle Kaisertrutz, with inventory no. Zg 232/37, and various numbers. 85 x 58.5 cm (33.4 x 23 in).

• Owing to the variety of textures and the sophisticated arrangement, this is an excellent work of this art trend.

• Recently the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris, honored the important period of "New Objectivity" with a grand exhibiiton (May-September 2022).
PROVENANCE: Private collection (acquired c.1982, until 1999).
LITERATURE: Christie, London, German and Austrian Art, auction on October 7, 1999, lot 202 (with illu.).
In good condition. With spots of faint craquelure in lower margin. Tiny isolated skillfully retouched spots in black pedestal. Tiny isolated soiled spots, isolated unobtrusive rubbings. Edges slightly rubbed from framing, with small isolated losses and retouched spots. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
