Verso inscribed and with the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and the hand-written registration number "F Da/Ba 40". On wove paper. 30.8 x 50 cm (12.1 x 19.6 in), size of sheet. [CH].

• Fine, sensitive portrait of the young violinist Gustav Häusermann.
• Preliminary drawing for an etching and the painting "Der Geiger Häusermann II" (Gordon 870) from the same year.
• In 1926 and 1927 Kirchner eternalized his subtle features and gentle motions in prints, drawings and watercolors as well as in two colorful paintings

Good overall impression. Slightly faded and margins slightly discolored and soiled and rubbed. Corners with small isolated pinholes. Lower margin with a small split. Image minimally rubbed and with a few faint creases.[JS]
