Lower right signed, dated and titled. On off-white wove paper. 26.6 x 34.5 cm (10.4 x 13.5 in), size of sheet. [AM].

• Reduced depiction characterized by an enormous expressiveness.
• With just a few lines, Heckel rendered a remarkable account of the landscape.
• Stays at the Moritzburg Ponds (1909–1911) inspired the "Brücke" artist to scores of works of seminal importance for Expressionism.

In good condition. Minimally unevenly discolored in places and with small isolated stains. Paper with isolated minimal pressure marks, mainly visible in sided light. Upper margin irregularly trimmed and with paper loss in the center. Right margin slightly irregular, left margin with a few tiny scuffed spots. Laid on green-brown paper.
