• Fascinating realization of Mueller's ideal of the unity of man and nature: The landscape contours amalgamate with the undulating forms of the female nude.
• Rare. To date only 3 signed proofs have been offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
PROVENANCE: Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (verso with the collector's stamp, Lugt 6032).
In good condition. Minimally browned and sunned in the wide margin. With isolated handling creases and with a smoothed horizontal crease mark on the lower left. Upper left and lower right each with a skillfully repaired tear that is barely perceptible to the naked eye. With isolated stains in the margin and partially minimally unfresh. Slightly rubbed in the area of the signature.
