Size: 21.2 x 16.3 cm (8.3 x 6.4 in). Wrapper, color woodcut in 3 parts: 16,9 x 91,7 cm (6,7 x 36 in).
Depicted on the left side: tightrope walker over the city, middle section: catalog cover, right side: group of the four "Brücke" artists and female nude with two children. With woodcut flyleaf (inscription in printing block: "Ausstellung / Kunst / Hütte / Erich Heckel / Chemnitz". [JS].
• Catalog for the "Erich Heckel" exhibition in Chemnitz in 1931, with the elaborate three-part color woodcut and the title woodcut.
• The four "Brücke" artists, Erich Heckel, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Otto Mueller and Max Pechstein, are depicted on the right.
• Further copies can be found in, among others, the Brücke-Museum Berlin, the Museum Folkwang, Essen, the Staatliche Kunsthalle, Karlsruhe, and the estate of Erich Heckel, Hemmenhofen.
