Karsch 1. With the estate stamp and Erich Heckel's signature on the reverse (Lugt 1829 d). From an edition of 15 copies. On off-white wove paper. 17 x 10.8 cm (6.6 x 4.2 in). Sheet: 26,8 x 21,7 cm (10,6 x 8,5 in).
The work is registered in the Hermann Gerlinger Collection with the number 885 a. [AM].

• Printed from an unfinished printing block, the print just shows part of the original letter.
• In the past 20 years, only one copy of this unusual woodcut has been offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).

In good condition. Upper right corner and upper right margin with larger discolorations, presumably partly covered up in context of restoration measures. Paper with small stains and with minimal kinks in right margin.
