• William N. Copley was initially active as gallerist and became an artist through friendship with many surrealists.
• In 1963 Copley retuned to New York zurück and was in contact with the local Pop-Art scene.
• Works by the artist are at, among others, the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden.
