• In his landscapes the white-washed houses stand in sharp contrast to the dark nature.
• Characterized by an intensive coloring and a strong brushwork.
• De Vlaminck is an important representative of Fauvism.
• His works are in important international museums like the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid, Musée d'Orsay, Paris, or the Kunstmuseum Basel.
Accompanied by a written confirmation issued by the Wildenstein Institute, Paris, from March 20, 2007. The work will be included into the forthcoming catalog raisonné.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Minden/Bad Oeynhausen.
Private collection Switzerland (inherited from aforementioned in 1973).
Ever since family-owned.
Atmospheric work in harmonious colors and in good condition. Sheet slightly discolored. Left and upper edge minimally irregular. With a tiny torn spot in lower left edge and a small, skillfully closed split (ca. 1 cm).
