Signed, titled and inscribed with the work number "1840". On laid paper. 22.6 x 27.9 cm (8.8 x 10.9 in). Sheet: 28,2 x 40,5 cm (11,3 x 15,9 inch).
• Early, rare woodcut by the later Bauhaus master.
• Classical motifs meet modern forms and perspectives.
• Today, the master of the modern woodcut is still known for his radical compositions of geometric surfaces and straight lines.

In good condition. Evenly minimally discolored. With isolated faint handling creases in the margins, somewhat more pronounced in the left margin.
