The work will be presented to the Rohlfs Archive, Osthaus Museum Hagen, for verification at the earliest possible date in summer 2020.

LITERATURE: Kunsthaus Lempertz, Cologne, 485th auction, Modern Art, December 8/9, 1965, lot no. 913.
In good condition. Right margin with a consistent vertical creasemark. Small isolated rubbed spots, presumably from the making. Upper corners with tiny, skilfully rebacked pinholes. Upper left corner with a faint handling crease. Lower left corner with a small spot of material loss (ca. 0.7 cm).
The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
