• Renée Sintenis is among the most important modernist sculptors.
• In the 1920s, the artist. who embodied the image of the modern woman in a very special manner, was among the key figures of the Berlin art world and was represented by the renowned Galerie Alfred Flechtheim.
• Animal sculptures are her artistic trademark.
• Sintenis created the Berlin Bear (1956)
• Other copies are at the Knauf Collection, Berlin, the Städelsches Kunstinstitut, Frankfurt a. Main, and the Baverian State Painting Collection, Munich.
