Beschaulichkeit. Vor 1924.
Bronze with black brown patina.
Braun 121. With the signature and the foundry mark "H NOACK BERLIN" in bottom edge on the reverse. 31 x 30.5 x 18 cm (12.2 x 12 x 7 in).
Hermann Braun was able to identify the date "before 1924" on basis of the fact that a nephew of Fritz Klimsch acquired a copy of "Beschaulichkeit" in 1924 (cf. Hermann Braun, Fritz Klimsch. Eine Dokumentation, Cologne 1991, p. 359). [KT].
• Klimsch is one of the most famous modern sculptors in the Weimar Republic.
• His female nudes, which show the influence of Aristide Maillol and Wilhelm Lehmbruck, are particularly successful.
• Lyrical-atmospheric work emanating a meditative calmness.
