Signed and numbered. Signed in the stone. Titled by a hand other than that of the artist in the upper right. From an edition of 200 copies. On Arches wove paper (with the watermark). 60 x 42.3 cm (23.6 x 16.6 in). Sheet: 70 x 47,7 cm (27,16 x 18,50 in).
Executed by Charles Sorlier under the supervision of Chagall. This composition was also used as a poster for an exhibition of Chagall's works at Galerie Maeght, Paris, in 1954. [MH].

• Chagall and his family lived in Paris for many years, using the city as an important source of inspiration.
• Charles Sorlier, who worked in Fernand Mourlot's studio, applied his technical skills to transfer Chagall's painterly style to lithography with great mastery.

In good condition. Slightly irregularly browned in margins, somewhat mount-stained. With isolated slight horizontal creases in the left margin and in the lower right.
