With the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570b) and the hand-written registration number "B Be/Bi 35" on the reverse. On yellowish wove paper. 29.9 x 17.9 cm (11.7 x 7 in), the full sheet. [CH].
• Family-owned for 60 years.
• Dynamically rendered figure study with a narrative expressiveness.
• Nearly cinematic image section.
• The drawing was presumably made in connection with the painting "Soldat und Mädchen zwischen bunten Vorhängen" (1916, Gordon 459).

Fine overall impression. Edges slightly irregularly trimmed by the artist. With mainly diagonal wrinkles, particularly in margins and in lower part like both bottom corners. With an unobtrusive diagonal creasing in center.
