Verso with teh estate stamp (Lugt 1775b), there with inscription "BZ 7/9" and with title and date. On creme wove paper. 20 x 32 cm (7.8 x 12.5 in), the full sheet.
With another India ink sketch on the reverse. [KT].
• Intimate glimpse into the living room of one of the most important German expressionists.
• Macke shows his wife, the writer Elisabeth Erdmann-Macke, of whom he made more than 200 portraits.
• Elisabeth is the author of important biographical texts and memories of her husband, who fell in WW I in France in 1914.

In good condition. With slight mount staining. Sheet minimally wavy. With a tiny pinhole above the depicted person's head. Edges in left margin slightly irregular.
