Ibidem. 1558. - Contemp. pigskin binding, with rich blind- and rolltooling (Evangelists, antique heads and others). Folio.

The title woodcut shows Duke Albrecht V. with his 5 councilmen, who revised the older state order from 1516. It contains the Augsburg State Peace, beer and spirit regulations, fire-, meat-, leather-, pharmacy regulations and others. Also covers schools, jews, gypsies, jugglers etc. - The fish shown on the plates, such as carp, trout, grayling, barb and others are the first lifelike depiction of fish in Germany (Belon's fish book was first published in Paris in 1551 in Paris). They are depicted in life-size and served as gauges. - II: VD 16, C 1961. - Stalla 349-351. - Not in Index Aurel. and in thg BM STC. - First German edition, published and released by the Salzburg councilman Martin Pegius. Multiple published treatise by the legist and canonist Cepolla (died in 1477), who used to work in Ferrara and Padua. - Collation: 18 non-numb. I: With woodcut title, full-page woodcut in text and 3 folding woodcut plates depicting fishes, the first realistic illustrations of fishes in Germany. - II: 3 parts. - Contemp. pigskin, richly blind- and rollstamped (evangelists, ancient heads ). - First title and last leaf with old stamp, pastedown with stamped ex-libris. Beautiful copy.
