Schefold p. 816 (as series and no. 24778, 25291-301, 25303. - 3 plates not in Schefold. - Early and quite appealing lithographed seris of views of the Heidelberg Castle, the city and its surroundings. Among them numerous views of the castle and the city from various perspectives and distances, the demolished tower, Elisabethpforte, large balcony, view onto the castle and the city across the Neckar river, view from the so-called Philosophenweg (Philosopher's alley), ruins etc. as well as Weinheim, Neckarsteinach (2) and Stralenburg zu Schriesheim. - Size of images ca. 22-22,5 : 15-15,5 cm. - With captions in French and German (15) and inGerman only (15). - Foxed (mostly in white margin, there somewhat more obvious). Binding foxed, edges scuffed.
