Synthetic resin

Synthetic resins are synthetic organic compounds produced by polymerization, co-polymerisation or thermosetting polymer before curing it. Synthetic resins are mixtures of at least two components (resin and a hardening agent). Blending increases viscosity and, after hardening to a solid state is complete, the result is a durable plastic that does not melt but burns if ignited. Synthetic resins are also used as adhesives.
