Brahms im Brahms Kontor!
Zeigt ein Brustporträt des knapp 40-jährigen Hamburger Komponisten im Viertelprofil, noch ohne seinen charakteristischen Bart, den er sich wenige Jahre später wachsen ließ. Links unterhalb des Fotos signiert. - Ende 1871 hatte Brahms seinen festen Wohnsitz nach Wien in die Karlsgasse verlegt, wo er bis zu seinem Tod 1897 lebte. - In der Fotografie rechts unten mit Blindstempel des Ateliers Fritz Luckhardt, verso mit lithogr. Adresse des Ateliers und Zuschreibung "Brahms" in Tinte von fremder Hand.
