Signed and dated lower left. With partially fragmented gallery labels on the reverse of the stretcher, as well as with the title, an inscription, and a number. 78 x 92 cm (30.7 x 36.2 in).
• Atmospheric view of the picturesque Seeon Monastery, captured in a dynamic perspective.
• A work from Trübner's most important period of landscape painting in the 1890s.
• Wilhelm Trübner was part of the “Leibl Circle” around Wilhelm Leibl and an important representative of German Realism and Naturalism.
