• A virtuoso depiction of the Neuss St. Quirinus Minster in beautiful color harmonies.
• Max Clarenbach was part of the Düsseldorf School and co-founder of the “Sonderbund” in Düsseldorf, influenced by French Impressionism.
• After Andreas Achenbach discovered Clarenbach's talent, the latter began to study at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 1893
.
