• Wesselmann transforms a classic still life into a vibrant pop art eye-catcher with his characteristic graphic-linear style.
The same year, he created the "Still Life with Fuji Chrisanthemums (double Layer)" steel cut, which features our motif.
• Alongside Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jasper Johns, and Robert Rauschenberg, Wesselmann is one of the most important protagonists of American Pop Art.
• Until February 24, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris, pays tribute to him with the comprehensive exhibition “Pop Forever. Tom Wesselmann & ..”, in which over 150 works by Wesselmann and around 70 works by another 35 artists from the Pop Art circle are on display
